Beskrivning

Karön is the largest island in the archipelago of Ronneby.

In the 1900s, the island was used as grazing land and buildings consisted of a croft on the island's western part.

Now there is this restaurant, swimming and walking paths. Around the island there are villas, which were built after the Ronneby Koping bought the island in 1876. Until 1885 it was built 14 villas all of which are built in the Swiss style (fantasy style).

There is also a holiday village by 15 4-bed cottages of simple style with shared public space, shower, laundry and toilets.

Karön is often called "Blekinges pearl". To get to Karön you take the boat that runs between Ekenäs on the mainland and Karön. The boat trip takes a few minutes and goes on the hour and half hour during the summer.
