Blekinge has 15 km of marked riding trails in Halen nature reserve (Olofström), a riding trail at Listers Huvud headland and at Stiby Backe. Guided Icelandic horse tours are available in Sandviken, Järnavik and at Ryssberget mountain. Horse-friendly accommodation at Stall 2000, Stålemara Farm and Fornhaga Icelandic Horses.

MARKED RIDING TRAILS
Riding in nature reserves requires sticking to designated trails, but those that exist are well-planned and genuinely beautiful.
Olofström · 15 km · 3 trails
Three loops circle lake Halen, all built with horses in mind - complete with a rest paddock, barbecue area and a dedicated bathing spot where you can take your horse for a swim.
Red trail 7.7 km
The main loop. Horse bathing, paddock, barbecue with firewood.
Green trail 4.4 km
Medium loop - also passes the bathing spot.
Yellow trail 2.6 km
Shortest but hilly, on narrow forest tracks.

Sölvesborg · Nature reserve
The Listers Huvud headland south of Sölvesborg is one of Blekinge's most dramatic nature reserves - cliffs, sea views and ancient broadleaf forest. The marked riding trail takes you out to the tip with sea on three sides.

Dense broadleaf forest on the Listerlandet peninsula. Ride on the designated trail only - cattle graze in parts of the reserve seasonally, so move calmly and keep your distance.

Sweden's largest contiguous beech forest. Operators around Sandbäck, Örlycke and Äskemo lead groups through hilly terrain on soft forest tracks — ideal for tölt and canter.
Mörrum, Karlshamn · Beginners
A historic farm in beautiful nature outside Mörrum. Taster rides, trail rides and beginner courses. Summer camps and treasure hunts on horseback during school holidays.

Right of public access | Riding trails often cross hiking routes like the Blekinge Trail. Slow to a walk when passing hikers and stay on riding or gravel paths.
