ARK56 is a network of links through the Blekinge Archipelago Biosphere Reserve. A biosphere reserve is designated by UNESCO as a model area for sustainable development of unique natural and cultural values in interaction. For visitors to ARK56, it means varying experiences in an unexploited nature and well-preserved cultural landscape.
ARK56 takes you through the Blekinge archipelago along winding roads, quiet bays, deserted islands and the open sea. You choose whether you want to experience nature and culture on foot, by bicycle, by kayak or by boat. 13 hubs connect the joints and offer food, accommodation and experiences. At the hub's, you can change your way of travelling - hop on the archipelago traffic, rent a bike or kayak and if you like, lace up your boots and walk on. Information on accommodation, kayak and bike rental, restaurants, nature experiences, cultural history and relevant content can be found in the app - Nature Map
The Blekinge Arkipelag Biosphere Area is run and managed by the non-profit association Blekinge Arkipelag with the help of member municipalities and other financiers who drive sustainability-focused projects.
