Ysane Church was built in the 14th century and was built until 1777. The church got its vaults in the 15th century, a reconstruction was done in 1862 when the church got its tower.

The current church houses many beautiful and interesting historical objects, including the pulpit that dates back to the 17th century and an ore chandelier from 1808.

The church's main attraction is the paintings in the choir, which were done by the painter Nils Håkansson (also known as the Vittskövlemästaren). The best preserved part of the paintings are those on the east wall of the choir, which depict Jesus' entry into Jerusalem. The frescoes were done by the Vittskövlemästaren.
