Moss ponds are the final step in the purification of the wastewater before it is discharged into Holjeån.

Beskrivning

The name comes from the threatened and endangered moss dichelyma moss that was found on a stone in the little swamp forest. Moss Ponds consists of three ponds with intermediate flood irrigation areas where the water gets oxygen when it flows over the smaller rocks. Both plants and microorganisms in the wetland helps to take up mainly of nitrogen.
