Kråkenabben

The beautifully barren spit of land between Hällevik and Nogersund is one of the area's hiking areas and a popular spot for birdwatching.

Beskrivning

The landscape consists of rocky and calcareous pastures with occasional shrub vegetation of juniper, hawthorn and blackthorn. Here the cows graze peacefully and there are small cattle paths to follow everywhere. The pastures are separated by long stone fences, and along the shoreline there are still remains of old stone quays. During spring and early summer, meadow orchids are in full bloom on the shore meadows. Kråkenabben is a well-known bird sanctuary with about 255 registered species. It is the main migratory bird sanctuary for ducks and waders in western Blekinge.
