Wämöparken is a combined cultural and nature park. Playground, mini-zoo, great walking trails.
Beskrivning
The park i located next to the main road to Karlskrona, about 2.5 km outside the city center, a scenic excursion with cultural history buildings from different times and different places in Blekinge. Wämöparken and the coffee-cottage, was opened in 1910. There are 12 older buildings from Karlskrona and Blekinge county, which have been moved to Wämöparken to be preserved. The historical cottages and buildings are open daily during the summer.
A nice playground, an outdoor chess game and dance course are also available.
There is also an outdoor fenced exercise area for dogs, that is available throughout the season. There is also an agility course for dogs during the summer season.
Recurring events in the park are, Midsummer celebrations, Blekinge Food and Garden Fair, flea markets, Pumpkin Festival etc.
Parking is on a gravel at the park entrance.
