Here is an industrial historical exhibition, which tells of an exciting period in the district's development. The mining of the precious diabase "the black gold", which is the finest quality in the world, began in the end of the 19th century and even today there is diabase from the neighborhood in many known buildings, such as Empire State Building in New York. Guided tours can be arranged for larger groups, where you can listen to exciting stories about special people who worked within the stone industry. The Museum is open during the summer and other times by appointment.
