Rödeby Church

Rödeby Church - The present church was completed in Rodeby 1877 at the same location where a former medieval church from the 1200s stood.

Beskrivning

Church architect PU Stenhammar, father of composer Wilhelm Stenhammar. Continuing from the old church are among others the sculpted altar, with the institution of the Eucharist as the central motif. It is made in 1673 and executed by the sculptor Truedsson from Asarum. As artistic contrast, one can see the three absidfönstrens glass paintings from 1986 by the artist Pär Andersson. The church is usually open to visitors and reverence weekdays during working hours.
