The nature reserve is located south of Västra Näs and can be reached either from Sandviken via Östra Näsnabben or from the harbor in Västra Näs.

The nature reserve is located south of Västra Näs and can be reached either from Sandviken via Östra Näsnabben or from the port in Västra Näs. The area is a popular walking area for local residents and consists of a flat headland that rises a few meters above sea level. There are also high natural values here linked to the pasture that has a long tradition of continuity. There is also a field that has been used as pasture for several years. The shore area is rocky and partly difficult to access. There are small elements of seashore meadow vegetation here. In the field layer, around 10 red-listed tradition-dependent plant species grow that are dependent on the current environment. Among these are species such as downy fingerwort, bush thorn, backsippa, and the mushrooms scarlet waxwing and blue trout. The shrub layer is dominated by blackthorn and hawthorn with elements of apple, juniper and barberry.
