Beskrivning
At Kungsforsen, in the centre of Mörrum, lies the hub of recreational fishing on the river. Here you will find the fishing office, a fishing shop and an exhibition on the life of the salmon and the history of fishing.During the fishing season, Laxens Hus is a natural meeting place by the Mörrum river. For those who do not fish, it is also the most accessible place to see anglers. Adjacent to Laxens Hus there is also a conference room.
In the exhibition, you can learn about the life of the salmon from sea to river. The history covers both the royal fishing in the Mörrum River, which began in the early 13th century, and recreational fishing, which started here in 1941 thanks to the then-Fishing Master Gunnar Johansson.
The exhibition also showcases water conservation work, what has been done and what is currently underway. Here you can also learn more about the history of the Mörrum River and hear some of the stories surrounding fishing. The exhibition features many of the record-breaking fish, and in our aquarium you can see most of the species found in the river.
