Hörvik

Hörvik is located under the protection of the Listershuvud nature reserve, with its splendid views over the elongated Pukavik Bay and the Blekinge coast.

Beskrivning

Like Nogersund, Hörvik is characterized by the modern fishing industry, although the older buildings have been preserved to some extent. Hörvik is closely intertwined with Krokås, a smaller fishing village with its own harbor. There are cozy harbor taverns here and west of Hörvik is Hörviks Hallar, one of the most spectacular rock pools in the area. If you are in good shape, this is the place to go if you appreciate gently washed out stone slabs and impressive rock formations. From here, the view towards Hanö is magnificent and perfect for a good picnic basket.

Also nearby is the mythical cave Hallahåle, which has long been popularly known as both a hiding place for a Viking treasure and as a descent to an underground passage to Hanö. According to legend, the cave closes its passages to unauthorized persons, hence the difficulties in finding its opening.
