Festivities on the fortress island Kastellet to celebrate the island's 350th anniversary.
Beskrivning
This year, the fortress island Kastellet celebrates its 350th anniversary, which will be celebrated with various events throughout the spring and summer. See link for all anniversary events.During Kastellet's Day on 30 May between 11:00-15:00, there will be festivities and fun activities on the island for the whole family. There will be refreshments in the coffee shop, Teatersmedjan will offer a treasure hunt, Skånes Caroliner will fire cannons and drill, and you can also take part in historical games.
Kastellet is located in the middle of Karlshamn's harbour entrance, only a 5-minute boat ride from the city centre. In early summer, lilacs bloom beautifully on the island.
Free admission and free boat trip to the island. The boat trip to the castle is free on Saturdays and Sundays during the low season (16 May to 17 June). For the boat timetable, see the link. The boat starts running at 10:30 on this day and then runs every 20 minutes until 16:15, which is the last boat home.
