Beskrivning

Borre Museum displays Bror “Borre” Carlström’s production of drawings and wooden figures. “Borre” was a multi-talented artist, woodcarver, social critic, joker and cartoonist. In 1966, “Borre” received the Sölvesborg City Culture Prize. “Borre” has also exhibited at the National Museum where he was one of 60 Swedish jokers represented at the exhibition “Comics for Everyone” in the company of, among others, OA (Oskar Andersson) and Albert Engström. “Borre’s” series “Pigge-Linus” had colleagues such as Kronblom, Agust and Åsa-Nisse. “Borre” also carved in wood, where both royalty and celebrities have been depicted. Home burners and priests are also portrayed with great precision.
