Sweden’s Literature & Storytelling Festival in Blekinge

Experience two inspiring days of literature, dialogue and creative energy as Berättarkraft returns to Blekinge on 7–8 March 2026.

This year’s theme, “I valet och kvalet” (“In the Midst of Choices”), explores the power of stories to shape our decisions and our future.

Berättarkraft is Blekinge’s annual celebration of storytelling

- a meeting place for readers, authors, poets, thinkers and creators. In 2026, the festival unfolds across two vibrant destinations:

• Olofström – Saturday 7 March: A hub of literary heritage and birthplace of several renowned Swedish authors.
• Karlshamn – Sunday 8 March: A coastal town where culture, creativity and community meet.

The full festival programme, including author talks, workshops, performances and family events, will be released in early February. Whether you're a passionate reader or simply curious, Berättarkraft offers inspiration for all ages.
