Beskrivning
During the fall break and the World Heritage Festival, Drottningskär Citadel is filled with activities for the whole family.Cannon Facts with a Historical Soldier
Learn more about the fortress’s cannons. How did they actually work, how far could they fire, and what role did they play in defending the fortress? In a playful way, both young and old can discover exciting facts about life as a soldier and about the time when the castle was a vital part of the kingdom’s defense.
The Citadel Hunt
Find the items associated with each clue and write down how many you find. Once you have all the answers, they’ll form a code that leads you to the castle’s treasure.
Also on site is the Shipyard History Association (VHFK), which demonstrates how to make rope—an ancient craft that was vital to seafaring. Children and adults can try their hand at this craft in a kid-friendly version using yarn. It’s a fun way to discover how people worked in the past while creating something with your own hands.

Free of charge, but space is limited. Please reserve a free ticket in advance to guarantee your spot.

You are welcome to bring your own picnic basket into Drottningskär Citadel during these times. Light refreshments are available for purchase on site.
