Karlskrona
Fisktorget–Stenshamn
Archipelago life in the east | The boat is called M/F Wittus and you hop on it in the middle of Karlskrona, at Fisktorget, which is the starting point for many of the archipelago's routes. The boat trip takes you to Karlskrona's archipelago for a full day, all the way out to the eastern archipelago and back in about 3 hours. Of course, you can also get off at a pier stop and take another boat back. You and your company decide!

Get off in Torhamn to enjoy a picturesque village with classic boathouses in the harbour where the "cosy guesthouse" Café Måsen is located. It's walking distance to the beach, so why not wander on Torhamn's headland to experience the rich birdlife. Check out the trails, rest stops and attractions in the ARK56 app. Fancy exploring the coast from the sea on your own? Rent a kayak from Torhamns Kajak.
Instead of heading for Stenhamn, start with a bite to eat or a coffee at Pelles Sjöbod before setting off to explore, perhaps on a bike you've hired at Pelles? The ARK56 app will show you the way. Stenshamn and Utlängan are great places for hiking in true archipelago nature; visit Utlängans lighthouse, swim from Ångbåtsbryggan and keep an eye out for the sea because seals are often seen here!

Do you want to stay overnight? Go nature camping or rent a cabin and take the boat back the next day. Do you just want to enjoy the boat trip? Stay on the boat and enjoy a half-day excursion with fresh breeze and 365° sea view!

Fisktorget–Nättraby
A trip from sea to river | From May to mid-September, you can travel with the converted steamboat M/F Axel towards Nättraby. The Axel moves along slowly, and it's not a bad idea to make a first stop at Dragsö. So take a plunge, have lunch at Restaurant Havsviken and check out the café and ice cream parlour at Dragsö Camping. There's a lovely sandy beach if you want to swim some more; there are bike and kayak rentals and cabins.

Ready to move on? Hop on the next trip with the M/F Axel and glide under lush foliage up the idyllic Nättrabyån. The boat docks in the middle of the village, next to the 12th-century church. It's well worth a visit, as is the Nättraby Road Museum - the world's first open-air museum in the history of roads on land, rail, water and ice. You!

Ronneby
Ronneby - Karön
Spa charm and island life | Hop on the M/F Astrid, which takes you out on the Ronneby River from the jetty near the travel centre. The river is surrounded by greenery, and Astrid cruises along, stopping at Ronneby Brunn on her way out to sea and the archipelago. Perhaps you'll get off here to discover the Brunnsparken and pick up something tasty from Café Mandeltårtan, Ronneby's Deli or one of the cafés in town?

When the boat stops at Ekenäs on the mainland side, you can get off to eat at Villa Vassen or wait until Astrid reaches Karön - the cosy, lush and bathing-friendly island that was the "resort" during the fountain era. There's a new restaurateur at the beautiful and venerable Schweizeriet restaurant, where hungry and thirsty guests have been coming since 1877. If you want to stay overnight in Karön, accommodation is available for rent. If you let the M/F Astrid take you back to Ronneby and Brunnsparken before evening, you can stay overnight at Ronneby Brunn, Villa Vesta or B&B Flora Viola, for example.
PS. If you get off at Ronneby Marina, you can catch the archipelago boat to Tjärö for a completely different kind of adventure in the idyllic setting of the archipelago.

Matvik - Tärnö
A day of swimming in the archipelago of Hällaryd | 5-10 minutes from Matvik, the boat arrives at Östra Bokö and Fölsö, which offer lovely sandy beaches for bathing enthusiasts. A little further out, you will find Tärnö, which has the archipelago's only shop, Laxboden.

Pack your lunch and swimwear and hop aboard the M/F Anemon in cosy Matvik for a full day of swimming in the Hällaryd archipelago. Now that it's summer and high season, the boat stops at the smaller islands of Östra Bokö, Fölsö and Joggesö on its way to Tärnö - a perfect boat trip! You can swim anywhere, of course, but Östra Bokö has a lovely sandy beach. There is also fresh water, toilets, a grill area and a tent site if you want to stay overnight.

If you are going for the day, a stop of 1.5 hours may be just right before you take the next boat to Tärnö. There's more to discover and enjoy here - the heavenly view from the island's highest point next to the lighthouse, the hiking trails and the bathing-friendly jetties in the guest harbour. There are fireplaces and barbecue facilities at various locations on the island. If you want to go home, the last boat leaves at 5pm, and if you want to stay, you can camp in comfortable tents or rent a cottage or an apartment. Tärnö is one of the hubs in ARK56, the network of coastal trails in Blekinge. Download the app, and you'll find all the information you need.

Karlshamn - Eriksberg
Today's excursion - safari park or nature reserve? | During the summer season you can go by boat from Karlshamn to Eriksberg for a great nature experience, or even go on safari! You'll need to change boats at Tärnö on the way there and in Matvik on the way home, but it's worth it. Have you heard of Eriksberg? It's an incomparably beautiful nature reserve on the border between Karlshamn and Ronneby with lots of trails to explore both on land and on water - you'll find more information in the ARK56 app. But it's also a unique safari park - the largest in the Nordic countries - where you can meet wildlife on the animals' terms and also stay over and eat first-class food.

It is perfectly possible to explore the nature reserve in Eriksberg on your own, but if you want to visit the safari park and have lunch, the trip must be pre-booked by phone (+46454564330). You will be picked up and dropped off at the gate, about 300 metres from the jetty. It is not allowed to explore the safari park on foot.

Nogersund-Hanö
Tales, history and unique nature | Gather the group and get on the boat in Nogersund harbour for a pleasant island experience in the west. Load up for hiking, swimming, deer encounters and a lovely day or two. Nature varies greatly on Hanö - what do you want to discover first? The exotic hornbeam forest, the rocky outcrops at Vindhalla, the stone reef Bönsäcken or the meadows? There's a good chance you'll see fallow deer, many of which are on Hanö. It's an island steeped in legend, with tales of the giant woman who dropped stones to form Bönsäcken and the dragon blinded by the lighthouse and crashed into the mountain wall. There's also a lot of history to be discovered here - the memories of the British naval base on the island during the Napoleonic Wars and, of course, the life of a fisherman that has been so central here. Learn more about it in the village museum.

Time for a dip? Jump in the jetty in the harbour and swim out to the raft, choose the child-friendly little beach or peel off the rocks at Vindhalla. There's a waffle café and an ice cream parlour when you're in the mood for a treat. The island's restaurant, Fisky business, take good care of your hunger and has a nice view of the guest harbour boats and the inlet. Want to stay longer to really soak up the island life? Stay overnight in the lighthouse, at the hostel or rent private accommodation. Hanö is a nature reserve and one of the hubs in ARK56, the network of coastal trails in Blekinge. Download the app to get an overview of hiking trails and services.
