Skinsagylet - Nature reserve

Beskrivning

In the northern part of Ryssberget lies Skinsagylet Nature Reserve, which consists of a steep rift valley. To reach Skinsagylet, drive the E22 towards Pukavik and turn off towards Olofström, road 15. After about 5 km in a northerly direction, at Kylinge, turn left towards Gammalstorp via Bjärarydsvägen. After about 200 meters, turn right towards Näsum and follow that road for 2 km. The reserve is on the right side. Parking is available in the southwestern part of the reserve.

The nature reserve is overgrown with oak, beech and hornbeam and here you will find an abundant biotope with both fauna and flora. Vascular plants found here include lily of the valley, sedge, ivy, white sedge, dogwood and wild honeysuckle. The biodiversity includes white moss, sedge, cranberry, sedge and marsh violet. The reserve has also been found to have a large number of wood fungi that have emerged in the untouched areas, as well as several species of beetles.

The reserve can serve as a starting point if you want to continue your hiking or cycling trip south, as the Vesan runt loop passes along Bjärarydsvägen. By following Bjärarydsvägen and then Rydalsvägen for 19 km, you reach Sölvesborg's center and station. From here you can then choose between several excursion destinations.
