During the summer months, Sölvesborg is a real festival municipality. In May, June, July and August, the festivals succeed each other, big is mixed with small and most musical tastes are satisfied.
Sweden Rock
The small community of Norje, outside Sölvesborg in Blekinge, is invaded for a few days in June by rock lovers of all ages from all over the world. They come to listen to the best rock bands and socialize. It's the festival where well-polished directors hang up their suits and briefcases for a few days to dress in worn jeans, t-shirts and studded waistcoats. It's Sweden Rock, it's party, it's joy and it's community for nearly 40,000 people who love classic rock, hard rock, metal and blues. Around 90 concerts are offered on the five stages over four days. Every year the festival is visited by artists such as Iron Maiden, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Slash, Kiss, Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe. Killebom
Sölvesborg's city festival Killebom is for many Sölvesborgians the best time of the year! For four days, starting on the first Wednesday in July, Sölvesborg's city center is filled with life, the streets teem with people and the sounds of music pour out into the summer night. Let the kids take a ride on the tuff-tuff train, visit one of the markets and revel in the nostalgia that comes with the newly bought market candies. The festival has something for everyone! Hällevik Tradjazzfestival
Once a summer, the picturesque fishing village of Hällevik on Listerlandet in Blekinge is transformed into a boiling cauldron of happy jazz music and happy people. Hällevik Tradjazzfestival has developed into a recurring folk festival which for many has become as obvious a tradition as midsummer. The festival is run by the Jazz association in Hällevik. Every year, 10-15,000 people come here to enjoy the music and feel good. Over 20 bands entertain over three days on 5 different stages, all located within easy walking distance of each other. Trädgårdsdagen
In August, Sölvesborg's garden day is arranged, which invites you to a large and inspiring garden market by the castle. Garden days are organized by Sölvesborg's gardening association in collaboration with Sölvesborg's municipality and the Adult School Association.
