Sweden Rock Festival

Festival Summer in Sölvesborg

During the summer months, Sölvesborg is a true festival town. In June, July, August, and September, festivals follow one after another, ranging from large-scale to small-scale events, and catering to most musical tastes. Blekingetrafiken often runs extra buses for major events. Visit the Evenemangstrafik - Blekingetrafiken website to view the schedules.

Sweden Rock

The small town of Norje, just outside Sölvesborg in Blekinge, is taken over for a few days in June by rock fans of all ages from around the world who come to listen to the best rock bands and hang out. It’s the festival where well-groomed executives hang up their suits and briefcases for a few days to instead don worn jeans, T-shirts, and studded vests. It’s Sweden Rock—it’s a party, it’s joy, and it’s a sense of community for nearly 40,000 people who love classic rock, hard rock, metal, and blues. Over four days, the five stages host around 90 concerts. Every year, the festival welcomes artists such as Iron Maiden, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Slash, Kiss, Def Leppard, and Mötley Crüe. Hällevik Tradjazzfestival

Every August, the picturesque fishing village of Hällevik on the Lister Peninsula in Blekinge transforms into a bubbling cauldron of joyful jazz music and happy people. The Hällevik Tradjazz Festival has evolved into an annual community celebration that, for many, has become as much of a tradition as Midsummer. The festival is organized by the Jazz i Hällevik association. Every year, 10,000–15,000 people come here to enjoy the music and have a good time. Over 20 bands perform over three days on five different stages, all located within easy walking distance of each other. Read more about this year’s festival on their website, Hällevik Tradjazz Festival.
