Market. Knights, soldiers and other exciting actors parade through
Brunnsparken – and who knows? Maybe we'll see King Hans himself!
"Battles"
Baggeholm's fighters clash in glorious battle. It's man against man. Come and see
them give each other the fur and hear the sword blows echo across the area!
Royal visit
King Hans himself visited the market. Have you passed the challenges of the knight's school? Then the king can dub you a knight of the Gribshunden.
Jester
Luqas the Jester - Experience a show with fun, laughter and exciting tricks. Perfect for
the whole family!
Music
Mayenzeit played popular hits from the 15th century. What did people listen to in
medieval Europe? What instruments did they have? How did it really sound? Listen to
Mayenzeit and get an insight into what it might have sounded like.
Jousting
Jousting in honor of King Hans. Knights had to excel on the
jousting course. Beautiful horses charged forward at a gallop while their riders
swinged their weapons in the hope of winning wealth and fame.
CONTINUOUSLY DURING THE DAY
Stroll among the market stalls. Here you can see the craftsmen at work and buy
something good or beautiful to take home.
At Niels at Rössmåla Kulturmåleri you have the chance to learn more about medieval
paints and pigments. Marvel at the colorfulness of the Middle Ages and why not
create your own work of art to hang on the wall?
Master potter Alexander at Krohns Krukmakeri is on site and shows how to
create medieval pottery. He also has finished products for sale.
Are you looking for armor or other accessories to survive a medieval simulation?
Then the Swedish Armory is the place to go! They have everything and more for the medieval soldier.
In addition, the blacksmith Peter will be on site and will show his craft.
At the market you will also be able to buy spice blends and oils from
Bredaviks örtagård, Local Honey and Beeswax products from Almgården Kartaby,
Exciting crafts in yarn and wood from Vi Skapar Hantverk and deliciously tasty burnt
almonds.
The Knight School will last all day and there you can complete exciting
challenges such as stick horse jousting and archery to show your skill and be dubbed a knight by the king himself.
Do you like playing games? Ronneby folk theater has games and games from a bygone
time. They will be happy to measure their skill with yours – if you dare to take on the challenge!
Madame Lumpas Höns & Diversehandel is on site and offers everything you didn't know you wanted and needed, such as invisible chickens, magic beans and terrible legends. The actors LinaMaria Bengtsson and Jerry Segerberg from Teater Trassel, along with the national fiddler Erik Ask-Upmark, will be driving around the area in their "chicken taxi".
