Nytäppet Kajak in Matvik, just outside Karlshamn, offers kayak hire right by the water in the Hällaryd archipelago. From here, you can easily explore islands such as Tjärö, Tärnö, Östra Bokö, Fölsö and Bockö – in calm, sheltered waters suitable for both beginners and experienced paddlers.

Kayak hire is the business’s main focus and offers the freedom to explore the Blekinge archipelago at your own pace, whether it’s a short day trip or a longer paddling adventure. For those wishing to improve their paddling skills, guided tours and kayak courses are also available. Find out more about the specific courses available via the links.

The courses focus on paddling technique, safety and rescue exercises and are suitable for all levels – from beginners to advanced paddlers. The Paddling Pass follows the Swedish Canoe Federation’s training ladder and corresponds to the Euro Paddle Pass (EPP).

Kayaks are collected between 09:00 and 10:00 and returned between 17:30 and 18:30, or by arrangement.

Directions:
Take the E22 "Karlshamn Östra" and drive towards Hällaryd. Then follow the road until the sign Matvik appears. Turn right, after about 2 km turn left at the sign Nytäppet. Follow the road until Nytäppet's red kayak shed appears on the right side (approx. 2 km).
