Beskrivning
Iris Bergcrantz has been praised for her sonorous voice and poignant empathy, nominated for Best Jazz Album at the Manifest Gala 2023 and the Danish Music Awards for Best Vocal Album 2020, and performed at Allsång på Skansen (2022), Nyhetsmorgon (2024) and on stages such as A-Trane in Berlin, the Rochester International Jazz Festival in New York State and at the London A Cappella Festival.Iris Bergcrantz is currently releasing ‘Vi fanns förut’ (We existed before), for which she wrote the lyrics and, together with Anders Fjeldsted, the music. The music is based on experimental pop, Swedish folk music and classical impressionism in a jazz package. The central theme is the transition from one phase of life to another. About having difficulty letting go of who you were to make room for who you will become. About identity, codependency, relationships and love.
