Ire school of nature and culture

Beskrivning

Ire school of nature and culture is located 20 km north of Karlshamn, in a nature reserve with interesting cultural history. The education committee of Karlshamn's commune has been running nature and environment education here since 1986, for students in elementary school, high school, school for children with disabilities and also for the personnel of the commune.

The goal of the education is to give the students positive experience of the nature. We also want to show the ecologic connections in the environment and how people throughout history has used nature for its survival.

Visiting the school is free for schools in Karlshamn. Schools outside Karlshamn must pay a fee to visit. General public are also welcome to take part of everything we have to offer, such as traditional agriculture, animal life and the fantastic nature.
