Christer Mattson, associate professor of education and director of the Segerstedt Institute at the University of Gothenburg, shares his extensive knowledge and practical tools to prevent young people from ending up in violent environments.

Beskrivning
During the lecture, he will, among other things, highlight how extremism poses a threat to democracy and radicalization processes to violent extremism, with a focus on individual and common factors.With his long experience of working with children and young people, Christer offers insights and strategies for countering radicalization and promoting democracy.
The lecture will take place on January 29, in connection with Holocaust Remembrance Day. With a special focus on historical parallels, lessons from the past that are relevant to today's society will be highlighted.
