Join on an exciting lecture about the experience to ski over the worlds largest island, Greenland!
BeskrivningThe adventurer Mats Svensson was involved in a ski expedition over Greenland in May 2019 together with a Norwegian team. Together they skied 600km for 26 days, to travel from west to east across the country.
Greenland is located between the North Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, east of Canada's Arctic islands. Over 75% of the country is covered by the world's only inland ice outside the Antarctic.
The ski expedition was carried out from Kangerlussuaq on the west coast to Isortoq on the east coast. The highest point on the ice was +2500 ha.
During the lecture, Mats tells about the planning and implementation of a ski expedition, and what is needed to implement it in Greenland. Mats has a lot of pictures and movies that he tells about during the lecture.
10% of the ticket will be donated to the Child Cancer Foundation.
