- it will be an adventure in the beautiful nature of Blekinge
If you are a cycling enthusiast who loves coast and sea, the trail Kustvägen southeast is an experience you will live long. You can start in picturesque Kristianopel with the final destination Torhamn, where you can take the archipelago boat to Karlskrona.
During this bike ride, you will meet exciting environments and people. You can enjoy colours, scents and bird songs. You get both silence and tranquillity but at the same time a varied range of activities, lovely coffee places and experiences in plenty. It is archipelago life at its best with beautiful oak gardens, quiet fields and small farms that show up along the way. And of course, you will find small cosy bays where you can see the Baltic Sea glitter in the sun and where you can take a cooling dip before the journey goes on.
If you stop in Orranäs, you can buy award-winning cheese from the local farm shop. In short, this is a bike package where you are served a sandwich table of tasting experiences and historical adventures. Another lovely cycle path is Sydostleden, which starts in Växjö and ends in Simrishamn. For those who love cycling along the sea, it is excellent to choose the four-mile-long stage that goes from Karlsham, via Mörrum, to Sölvesborg. There you are offered lovely coastal experiences.
Ryssberget in south-west Blekinge is an estimated destination for mountain biking enthusiasts year-round, but especially during the summer months when the tree canopy lies like a green roof over the trails. The beech forest is one of Sweden's oldest and gives the nature reserve a large part of its beauty. With its 150 meters above sea level, Ryssberget is a contrast to the otherwise relatively flat landscape, and it is a beautiful experience to reach one of the many hilly trails. Are you new to the MTB saddle? Instead, stay on one of the marked trails that cross the area.
Cycling on track
A more relaxed route is the old embankment between Olofström and Sölvesborg, which is now a perfect bike path for families with children. This is thanks to the paved surface and the fact that the 28-kilometre long trail is entirely car-free. The route that extends all the way to Listerlandet in the south offers most of it. Here you will find everything from idyllic places for a short break to a visit destination such as Gudahagen just outside Näsum with mythical tombs from the Iron Age and delightful nature experiences in Ljungryda nature reserve adjacent to the Skåne border.

For those who love cycling along the sea, it is excellent to choose the four-mile-long stage that goes from Karlshamn, via Mörrum, to Sölvesborg. There you are offered lovely coastal experiences. The southeast route is classified as one of Sweden's best cycling routes. Six miles of the entire 27 km long trail meanders through Blekinge. Cycle the whole way or focus on one or a couple of stages at a time. The courses that go through Blekinge are from light to medium-difficult. Put together your own cycle route and start exactly where you want along the stages.
For those of you who prefer to change the roads to 800 square meters of skate paradise, Karlshamn is the right destination. In addition to skateboarders, Karlshamn Skateplaza attracts both BMX and kick bike enthusiasts. Challenge yourself in the park's tight bends, triaxial stairs, rail and curbs, or just sit down for a while to watch the other riders.
