Sea & Coast
The cycle path Kustvägen Sydost allows you to enjoy tranquillity and silence while choosing from a varied selection of coffee places and tourist destinations along the way. Start the tour in Kristianopel, the city of the thousand roses, and set the final goal in Torhamn. From Torhamn you can then take the archipelago boat to Karlskrona. It is a bike ride with a real archipelago feeling. Beautiful oak gardens, expansive fields and small farms that popped up a bit here and where along the way. Small cosy bays overlooking the sea. Take a dip and sunbathe warmly before taking the journey to your destination. Stay in Orranäs and buy award-winning goat cheese from the local farm shop Orranäs Gårdsmejeri. For those who want to cycle along the sea, there is the four-mile-long stage from Karlshamn, via Mörrum, to Sölvesborg. It really is a bike ride with coastal experiences.
Another lovely cycle route is Sydostleden which starts in Växjö and ends in Simrishamn. Delightful coastal experiences and one of Sweden's best cycling routes. The south-east trail is a total of 27 kilometres long, of which 6 kilometres meander through Blekinge. Cycle the entire way or focus on one or a couple of stages at a time. The routes passing through Blekinge are easy to moderate. The great thing about the Sydostleden trail is that you can start and start wherever you want along the stages, all routes are marked and easy to get to and from.
Ryssberget in Sölvesborg is a valued destination for anyone who enjoys mountain biking all year round. During the summer months, you cycle with the tree canopy as a green roof over the paths. The beech forest in the area is one of Sweden's oldest and gives the nature reserve its beauty. It is a stimulating and enjoyable experience to reach the many hilly paths. With its 150 meters above sea level, Ryssberget is a contrast to the otherwise relatively flat landscape. If you are new to the MTB saddle, you can stick to any of the marked trails that cross the area.
A more relaxed route is the old embankment between Olofström and Sölvesborg, which is now a perfect bike path for families with children. This is thanks to the paved surface and the fact that the 28-kilometre long trail is entirely car-free. The route that extends all the way to Listerlandet in the south offers most of it. Here you will find everything from idyllic places for a short break to visit destinations such as Gudahagen just outside Näsum with mythical Iron Age tombs and delightful nature experiences in the Ljungryda nature reserve adjacent to the Skåne border.
For those of you who prefer to change the roads to 800 square meters of skate paradise, Karlshamn is the right destination. In addition to skateboarders, Karlshamn Skateplaza attracts both BMX and kickbike enthusiasts. Challenge yourself in the park's tight bends, triaxial stairs, rail and curbs, or sit down for a while to watch the other riders.
