Jan Scherman has the ability to engage the audience he meets. He will present his democracy lecture under the title "MAKE DEMOCRACY GREAT AGAIN – ON THE THREATS TO OUR DEMOCRACY BUT ALSO ON WHERE HOPE LIES AND WHAT I CAN DO MYSELF."
Undoubtedly, it will be a lecture with a strong focus on democracy, raising awareness that the survival of democracy depends, not least, on how people themselves take care of it.
Jan Scherman’s documentary Make Democracy Great Again (premiered on September 8, 2022) has garnered significant attention. It has been debated in the media and throughout society.
A fact is that only 13 percent of the world’s population lives in a democracy, and the trend is regressing.
In the documentary, Jan Scherman focuses on one of the most important questions of our time: Will democracy survive?
As a guide in this documentary, he meets with several people and organizations in Sweden, South Africa, and the USA to engage in dialogue on this critical issue.
Jan Scherman presents realistic threats to democracy but also emphasizes the importance of reversing the negative trend in the world, finding hope, and what people can do themselves.
