Beskrivning
Jan Lundgren is considered one of our most prominent jazz pianists. His own ensemble, the Jan Lundgren Trio, had its breakthrough with the disc Swedish Standards, which won "Orkesterjournalen's Golden Disc award" in 1997.Jan has been Artistic Director of the Ystad Sweden Jazz Festival since 2010. The balance between nurturing the original music and at the same time delivering personal, intricate, harmonically shimmering and rhythmically swing-saturated improvisations has become one of Jan's trademarks. Whether it is standard songs, folk music or classical music, he develops the material and puts his own, highly personal stamp on it.
The Music & Memories programme offers a generous concert of music that many people recognise and have their own memories of. It will be an unmissable opportunity to listen, enjoy and remember!
