BeskrivningKungsholms fort has been of great importance to the military of Sweden and it has been manned for over 300 years. The fort has been ready for battle a couple of times, such as when the Russians were closing in on Sweden during the battle of Svensksund in the late 18th century. It was also a bit worrisome for the swedes when the Englishmen were cruising around the Baltic sea in the early 19th century.
It’s been a while since the fort were in its prime as a strategic defensive fortification and the activity on the fort has been reduced in comparison to what it once was. Today the fort is providing the opportunity to experience something extraordinary.
